Under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Valejas Atlético Clube informs you that, in the course of its sporting and institutional activity, it may capture, record and publish images and videos of its athletes.
The purpose of collecting and processing this data is to promote the club's activities through various communication channels, including, but not limited to, social media (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube), the club's official website, promotional and institutional materials (such as posters, brochures and videos), internal and external communication, and publication in the media.
The processing of personal data includes capturing images (photographs and videos) and sound (voice), namely in interviews, institutional videos, training sessions or sporting events. Subject to authorisation, it may also include the athlete's first name and relevant sporting information, such as their age group or participation in competitions. The data collected may be shared with digital platforms, the media and official sporting bodies (such as associations and federations), always in strict compliance with the applicable legislation and with due respect for the athletes' privacy.
The data collected will be kept for a maximum period of 10 years, unless the data subject or their legal representative requests earlier deletion. The consent now given may be withdrawn at any time by written notice to the club, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out up to that date.
Data subjects, or their parents or guardians, have the right under the GDPR to request access to their personal data, its rectification, erasure, restriction of or objection to processing, as well as the right to data portability. They may also lodge a complaint with the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), the national supervisory authority.
